Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a bespoke kitchen cost at Kitchens by Guy?
We don’t work to fixed price lists, because every kitchen is built to order around your space, style and
budget. Guy started the company to offer high-quality kitchens without the inflated price tag, so our
approach is bespoke where it matters and standard where it saves you money. You get a free home
design, measure and quote before you commit anything.
What kitchen styles and ranges do you offer?
We offer one of the largest kitchen ranges across London and Essex, from classic to contemporary.
Popular ranges include Winslow, Arrington, Zola and Zola Handleless, Versa and Aylesford, covering
shaker, handleless, modern and German styles. You can see and feel the doors, worktops and islands
in our Ongar showroom.
What is the difference between a bespoke and a standard kitchen?
A bespoke kitchen is made to order in sizes and finishes tailored to your room, while standard units
come in off-the-shelf sizes. Kitchens by Guy offers both and won’t push ‘all bespoke’ for the sake of it —
our designers use bespoke where it adds value and standard where it saves you money.
Do you supply kitchens only, or do you fit them too?
Both. You can choose our full design, supply and installation service, or supply-only if you have your
own fitter. Either way you get the same made-to-order quality and value for your budget.
What kitchen brands and appliances do you work with?
We’ve partnered with leading brands including AEG, Miele, Franke and Quooker. A full range of AEG
appliances is on display in our Ongar showroom, so you can see them in person before you choose.
Are your kitchens solid wood or vinyl?
We specialise in solid wood painted kitchens and also offer one of the largest vinyl ranges available.
Whatever your budget, we’ll match the material to the look and the price you want.
Can I see the kitchens before I buy?
Yes. Our Ongar showroom lets you experience every detail — the feel of the doors, the worktops and
the kitchen islands. Browsing is free Monday to Friday 9–5 and Saturday 10–3, and we take the time to
explain what you’re buying so you can make an informed choice.
Do you design other rooms as well as kitchens?
Yes. As well as kitchens, we design and supply bedrooms, boot rooms, pantries and home offices — all
made to order and crafted locally.
Do you offer a free kitchen design service?
Yes. We offer a free home design and measuring service plus a free in-store consultation. Our
designers create a detailed plan and give their honest professional opinion on what will and won’t work
in your space.
Where is Kitchens by Guy based and which areas do you cover?
We’re a family-run kitchen company based at 38 High Street, Ongar, Essex, CM5 9EA, supplying and
installing kitchens across Essex and the surrounding areas. Call 01277 281 414 to discuss your project.
